Made entirely from alpaca (also known as new silver), an alloy of copper, zinc, and nickel. It is extremely durable and filters well thanks to the use of a double filtration system. The bombilla itself is slightly shaped and curved, making it easier to use daily and drink infusions. The top, slightly wider part of the bombilla is called the "pico del loro", or parrot's beak.
The Huayra bombilla, like other silver products, may darken or change color over time, which is a natural process, but there is an easy solution. Simply clean the bombilla with a cloth and a bit of toothpaste.
Its length is designed for containers with a volume of up to 210 ml and/or a height of up to 11 cm.
Huayra was born as an initiative to support artisan communities in South America and acts as a bridge between local communities and international markets while promoting responsible trade and environmental care. Its goal is to help rediscover the value of their crafts and preserve ancestral techniques.
