Verdelandia Nativa is traditional chimarrao made from the leaves of wild-grown yerba maté trees. The aroma of dry maté is grassy-herbal. The dry maté is bright green due to the fast processing method. The flavor is creamy with herbal to vegetable tones. An unusual addition is sugar, which enhances the sweetness of the brew. Verdelandia is a traditional family business founded in 1985. It was one of the first in the state of Paraná to start vacuum packing, which keeps the maté fresh for much longer. In addition to traditional chimarrao, it has also focused on producing tereré in recent years. The company adheres to a sustainable approach, therefore it invests intensively in reforestation and plants new holly trees, from which the raw product for maté production is harvested once they are mature. Verdelandia Mate Herb industry consists of four lines of production: three for the processing of Mate for chimarrão and one for terere. It produces over a million kilos of Mate herb per month and it is available throughout the country.
